As a matter of fact, some writers (myself included) think we
are seeing the demise of the word "me." People are saying
things like "They invited my wife and myself to the unveiling."
Apparently, "me" seems too abrupt and egotistical, so it is
eschewed. And certain writers (myself, among them, in fact)
think that maybe it would be a really healthy idea to get rid
of the word "I" as well. We don't need "I." People should talk
about what other people say, do, and think, not what they
themselves say, do, and think. Can anyone see a need for these
words that I have failed to consider with my brilliance?
